Local Horror Film, Night Terrors, Premieres Saturday Night

Night Terrors tells the tale of a devious older sister filling her brother’s head with bizarre
tales of terror, blood soaked memories, and nightmares after finding out that she has to
babysit instead of attend a party. Filmmakers Zink and Alex Lukens call the film a return
to the gash-and-slash style of 80s BIG BOX VHS horror films. Sister Maddie’s tales are
about a psychotic Santa Claus, a deranged doctor and two college freshman who find out
that getting lucky isn’t all its cracked up to be.

The movie’s cast includes Sean Jones, Brandon Edging, Joe Bachan, Richard Hackel and
Miranda Howard. Make-up was done by Matt Stahura.

“‘Night Terrors’ was more than just a project for me, it was a nightmare come true,” Zink
said. “I grew up on old school big box VHS, Svengoolie, Elvira and ‘Killer Klowns from
Outer Space’ and always dreamed of making a horror flick myself.”

Zink said this film is not for the faint of heart. He said it has blood, guts, nudity and VHS
tracking.

“As a horror hound and an aspiring filmmaker, I saw this as a perfect time for my sick
sense of humor to strike at the blackened heart that is Hollywood,” Zink said. “We hope
that this small budget horror flick proves that independent cinema is not dead – and a
force to be reckoned with.”

The movie will screened here at FoamCity on Saturday night at 8PM and followed by the musical acts Harley Poe and the Unusual Few. Cost is $7 at the door. Not recommended for younger viewers.
