The E3 Series for Improvisation Performance returns for another season of exciting live performance. On Friday, September 14, E3 will debut in their new home at Foam City, 407 N. 3rd Street, Lafayette. Foam City, which has quickly established itself as a home for cutting-edge music, dance and visual art, will host five E3 events in the fall and spring.
The first E3 on September 14, which coincides with downtown Lafayette’s Gallery Walk, will be a CD release concert for Don Nichols’ STATION OF SMALL SOUNDS. Nichols, an E3 co-founder, received a 2012 grant from the Indiana Arts Commission to complete the recording that features a variety of original solo percussion works. The evening will consist of Nichols performing works from his CD as well as “re-mixes” performed by musicians Danny Weiss and Jamie Newman.
Admission will be $10 and it will include a copy of the CD to take home! If you would like more information, or would like to apply to perform at a future E3, visit pmpd.org/E3.htm Please spread the word!
